The Club may award Scholarships from the Scholarship Fund to applicants with academic and sporting abilities and desirable personal qualities, who are engaged in tertiary education or a trade certification.  A preference will be given to those who reside outside the Auckland regional boundary.

Players may be eligible for the Scholarship for a total duration not exceeding 2 years. The Scholarship will continue should the recipient finish/complete his course within a calendar year.

The annual value of the Scholarship will be for an amount determined by the Evaluation Committee on behalf of the Norton Family each year.

The contestable amount available for 2025 is $10,000.

Scholarship recipients must align with the values and culture of the Somerville Hockey club.

After trials recipients must be selected into the Premier men’s squad for each year of the Scholarship. Failure to gain selection will void the Scholarship.
