Youth Academy
As previously advised, Somerville is offering a pre-season academy programme for players in years 9-12 at school in 2025, and intending to play for Somerville in 2025.

6 Week Programme | $200
The programme will operate in the same way as 2024 - each week we will have 4 groups of between 10-13, each with a coach, and grouped together broadly in consideration of ability.
Sessions will be calibrated by each coach to develop and extend skills based on the ability of the group. More advanced groups will develop the different skills and physical dimensions needed to succeed at higher (open grade) levels, while other groups will work on all fundamental skills through an integrated programme in the context of dynamic game situations.

At this stage, registration is only an expression of interest to attend the academy - this DOES NOT guarantee a place.
Registrations will be reviewed and offers of a place will be made, and at that time the fee for the academy ($200 for 6 sessions) will be payable.
In registration, you will need to provide information about past playing history with Somerville, to allow me to prioritise offers to players who have played for Somerville in recent years. I appreciate that this introduces some uncertainty, but I have concluded this is the most practicable way of ensuring that I am not overwhelmed by registrations, given constraints on the number of players that can be accommodated at any one time.
