History

Somerville Hockey Club was founded by Mr L Howard Norton in 1915 and became an Incorporated Society in 1972. It was originally named Primary School Old Boys and had one team in the fifth grade competition of the Auckland Hockey Association.

Today the Club has in excess of 400 members - men, women, boys and girls, playing in many teams in many grades in the AHA competition.

Our homebase is located at Auckland Grammar School in Mt Eden, on the Auckland city fringe, where we enjoy superb clubroom facilities and an international class water turf.
