A.H.A Prizegiving
Somerville Premier 1 Women – Dawson cup and Bernecker Challenge Cup .
Somerville won the Premier Women’s trophies for both round winners and competition winners and the Inter City.
Somerville Premier 2 Men – Coleman Cup and Patel Family Cup.
P2 Men were winners of their competition, round robin and final(again!)
Somerville Youth A Boys – Bruce Shield for 1st
Premier 3 Men – Bilkey Family Cup P3 men were winners.( Just as well they’d practised their stroke taking!)

Congratulations to all Somerville Players, Coaches and Managers for their efforts in 2009 and we look forward to a bigger and more improved 2010!
New president:
Barbara Smith has finished a 4 year term as Somerville President and has handed over the stewardship of the Club to Irene Ryan at the 2009 AGM.
Irene is wife of our P2 women’s team coach, Kevin, mother of Ryan (NZ Blackstick) and Oran ( Bar Manager extraordinaire).
Irene has been a member of Somerville since the beginning of the ladies in 1981, has played, coached, been Club Captain and an exec member, and she has also been the Chairman of the AHA.
In recent years she has been playing for Masters and has been a New Zealand Masters representative player.
Irene has always been a strong advocate for women in sport and will also bring her academic acumen to the Club in the next few years. Irene is currently the Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Business and Law at AUT.

Playing in 2010
Club trials for the whole Senior club start in February. The 14th,21st and 28th with the women 4-6 and the Men 6-8pm. Be there!
Club practices in 2010 will be Tuesday as normal and THURSDAY 7.30 onwards - replacing the Wednesday slot.
Indoor for Prems is Monday.

The AHA will not be dealing with queries from any one but the Club Management Members. So please in 2010 direct your queries through the respective Club Captain and the Club Secretary .Thank you.
